Kali Tattooby ~Rotten-Alice

This is my newest tattoo. It's taken a while to design. At first I was thinking of getting a full body picture of Kali so all of the symbols would be there, but I think this is a little more dynamic and elegant. Plus, I wanted the face to have more detail. Much thanks to John, my tattoo artist for helping to put the finishing touches on the design. I went to ask him if he had time this weekend and he said he had an opening in the morning. Well, I was worried the design wouldn't be finished in time, but he said we could finish it then if I didn't have time. So, in the morning he added the highlights to the hair, and lightened my initial coloring a bit, so my skin is actually the lightest shade. John did a fantastic job on it.

Yeah, I haven't seen anything quite like her out there. I was experimenting with more comic book like designs, then more traditional indian designs, but then she just kind of came out like this. I thought 'yeh, that's maa.'
